Dusty Gold

Since he was a young boy growing up on a Vancouver Island farm, Dusty’s favorite pastimes have been exploring the world’s natural wonders and sharing experiences of adventure with others.

He has over 30 years of technical rope experience including a record setting 1 ¼ mile Tyrolean traverse highline, rock climbing and professional instructing and guiding on rock and in caves. Dusty has been a certified Vertical Cave Guide since 1995, has spent 12 years participating and instructing with British Columbia Cave Rescue, 7 years on a Search and Rescue rope team with team leader training, as well as a professional tree-climber/arborist.

Certified in advanced and wilderness first aid from 1993 to present, he has a keen sense of awareness in caring for others and is particularly patient with clients experiencing fear or anxiety. He has exceptional communication skills and is an empathic listener trained in Compassionate Communication and can keep things light with a good sense of humor.

Dusty has worked with thousands of clients of all ages and abilities introducing them to canyoneering, caving, rappelling, climbing, sea kayaking and technical rescue skills.
